New boat in RX line
RX-750 is a new flagship in RX line. The boat is an answer to gradually
growing interest in Russia to lengthy RIB. The boats with 12 m LOA
are not new in Europe and Russian market enters this RIB-addiction.
The first boat equipped with wide option package as supposed to flagship
is intended for Ladoga region. The package support teak deck, 100 l
fresh water tank, hot water system, deck shower, electric toilet, fridge
suitable for fish stowage, electro package includes downriggers, in-hull
projectors and autopilot. The boat powered by two 140 hp outboards
runs 45 knots in 1.25 waves. RX-750 has two engine options.
An owner can choose outboards or 190-250 hp inboard diesel.
RX-750 is a top model till July when a brand-new RX-850
will be launched. The latter has only inboard engine and twin-shaft scheme.
07.02.08 Where to run ahead of a locomotive...
After the first sea trials of Alekstar 38 in Spain technical editor of
British magazine Yachting Monthly Chris Beeson has sent us a letter in which
he motivated his refusal to publish results of the trials. In his opinion
A38 is very interesting boat using many of new racing technologies and she is
from Russia that forces to look at her from different point as well. He had
spoken about А38 with the chief editor in whose sensation the publication
will be a little too premature mismatching inquiries of their readers.
He is going to discuss with the editor once again as he still considers that
A38 is the first sailing boat with technologies going to be standard in
the cruise market in 10 years.
Well! As it appears we run ahead of a locomotive. However it would be
more joyful to run if we can see a clear goal as a carrot. Probably English
goals are too virtual ones and it is necessary to replace a direction to
French sailing gardens as the message about difficulties of bewitched friends,
Brits, will traditionally please Frenchmen, who are true gourmets, fans of
the refined delicacies. We hope that among French gastronomic paradise will
be a simple but thick and sweet carrot for us.
11.01.08 A38 in Spain
Having pass sea trials first production Alekstar 38 was shipped to marina
Empuriabrava in Spain where the boat being rigged was officially launched.
Shallow waters of Empuriabrava gave an opportunity to enable retractable keel.
Before Catholic Christmas A38 was under hand-over trials about a week in Rosas
bay, Mediterranean. The weather varied from very light winds to heavy breeze
with 2.5 meters chop. The boat performance was even better then
in St.Peterburg's trials. In some regimes the boat exceeded her moderate
breeze VPP. Water ballast system excellently increases her beating upwind
performance in rough sea. The boat customer plans local racing in near future,
as he was satisfied with A38 performance, although he was not interested in
racing before as he had assured us. Well, we are going to follow his success
on course.

26.10.07 A38 sea trials
First production express-cruiser Alekstar 38 passed sea trials within a week.
Efficiency of new ideas, conceptions and engineering solutions of the design
were under test. As an example jybe-keel design gives an opportunity of
60 tacking angle according GPS tracking. Measured boat velocity and wind
speed values coincided with design polar diagrams. Under 40 hp Yanmar
the boat run up to 9.2 knots with prop pitch of 14 inches
and 11 knots with 16 inches pitch. A hump of towering
drag with keel down corresponds to 8.75 knots. In the immediate
future the boat will be returned to the yard to final interior mounting and
redecoration. Having passed final attestation for European safe certificate
(CE) she will be delivered to customer abroad.
22.10.07 A38 Express-Cruiser launched
First sailing boat Alekstar 38 was launched for sea trials on October 12,
2007. This finalize more than two year period of design, production
preparations and building. Having pass all-system and gear trials the boat
will be delivered to customer in Spain. We would like to thank participants
of the first boat design and production process for successful team-work
and look forward to continue this collaboration building the other production
A38 boats.
15.06.06 Serial production of A38 Express Cruiser
In the beginning of May new A38 was put into serial production.
The first boat is made in the version of Family Cruiser and intended for
customer from Northern Europe. After launching and several sailing tests
for journalists the boat will be consigned to the owner. This year it is
planned to manufacture several hulls. However while the first boat ashore
it is difficult to judge the further versions of A38. As it was already
mentioned the boat may be manufactured in versions such as Family Cruise,
Charter, Charter Sport and One Design. Despite of successive previous
sailing boat A25 in Europe, the market still with vigilance concerns to
production from Russia and many efforts to gain niche in hi-tech
boatbuilding are required.
25.05.06 New A25 model
Kompan Marine always contacts customers and owners of our sailing boats
for feedback helping effective modernization. After half-year of successful
interest in European market, dealers of the Mediterranean region have generated
a package of customers' wishes on the further development of A25 trailer sailer.
The new boat will receive index A25EK. She differs from the previous one by
stationary diesel, such as Yanmar 1GM10 of 9 hp, and retractable
bulb keel which may be raised to a cabin ceiling by an auxiliary winch.
Thus minimal draft increases up to 600 mm that quite comply with
rather deep marines and anchorages of Mediterranean. It is possible to reduce
sail area for leisury alone sailing also. The sailing boat equipped with new
deflectors with fans powered by solar panels and new WAECO fridge as well.
29.12.05 A38 building
Building process of pre-production A38 is under way.
Having exhibited A38 in Europe our company made some design
changes appointed to improve the boat for hot climate sailing
according to Europe dealers and charter companies' recommendations.
It is planned to launch A38 in May 2006.
30.11.05 Presentation in Europe
After approximately eight years in series build sailer-trailer А25
having recognized now by CE safety certificate and marked А25E was presented
at one of the first-rate Europe boat-show. Nowdays Salon Nautiсо in Barсelona
is de-facto second boat show in Europe promptly overtaking famous Dusseldorf
exhibition. More than three hundreds yachts and sailing boats were moored and
available for visitors in Port Vell. The greater parts of the fleet were
mega-yachts below 120 feets (about 40 m). Inland area of
pavilions placed in new FIRA II exhibition center was more than a half of
accustomed to Dusseldorf. More than 175000 visitors entered the show.
The sailing boat A25E was under keen interest not only by visitors but press
as well. Overall opinions were: very-good looking, much more interior than at
first glance, incredible opportunity to drive a beach. To our surprise the
latter option was very essential in cruising overcrowded east Middle Sea
region. Shortly it was approved to develop a hot climate interior
which will probably be a base version one for export.
13.10.05 New trailer sailer
Heeling and buoyancy tests were the last ones for certification. Manufacture
of a new Alekstar 25 for Europe market has begun. International
Marine Certification Institute approved the sailing boat as appropriate for E
category. The boat fully complies with the European norms of safety СЕ and
differs from the previous version, Alekstar 25 TR, by slightly
changed internal section, afterpeak watertight hatch. The sailing boat is
completed only with the equipment marked as СЕ accordingly. It has certainly
affected final cost of the boat, but she is still competitive under the price
with the nearest analogues such as MacGregor.
10.10.05 New trials
RIB R600 has passed new trials as a patrol vessel on Caspian Sea.
This time absolutely new qualities and abilities were checked. Delta of Volga,
stretches and flooded banks spread out on 360 kilometers in width,
was the main area for patrolling. It was necessary to work not only offshore,
where R600 is already recognized seaworthiness vessel, but on shallows overgrown
with grass with average depth less than one meter. It is huge territory with
the purest water, filtered by bushes of a reed and chakra, which temperature achieves
30 degrees. It is really paradise for everyone alive and for
valuable fishes in summer. Therefore interest to the given area is great not
only on the part of local population, but also citizens of the neighborhood
republics. Tests should be complex and very important since on this waters
a rich grass instantly choked jet powerboats so jets are not popular in this
waters. The jet could not get rid out of grass when turned to reverse. RIB equipped
with two engines was chosen as a boat with maximum draught. Ability to catch up
and intercept not only small boats of Progress or Crimea type but also so-called
fishing boats lengthen up to 8 meters and powered 2 X 220 hp
and even more was checked. Local huntsman and frontier guards have especially
appreciated unexpected interception ability R600 when at high speed run to
'offroad' shortening a way through so-called kolki which are islands thickets of
reed and high grass, chakra. All participants were pleased. The hunters really
liked new vessel and Korsar team had excellent adventures in exotic region of
Russia. So R600 has mastered a new trade of shallow waters patrolling.
22.02.05 New sailing boat
Development and designing of a new sailing boat positioned as family cruiser
are completed. The A38 is intended for the Europe market. She was designed for
the company Promocean, Denmark. The main idea was to build a present-day
fast cruiser for European middleclass family answering both to be home for
mistress and a racer for the owner. The boat is spacious enough. Having
been 11.5 m at length she is 4 m in beam and has
1.90 m interior height. To be ease in sailing and visiting as
well as mooring shallow bays the boat has retractable bulb-keel reducing draft
in up position to 0.75 m. In normal down position the keel provides
sufficient stability for 100 m2 upwind sailing.
At strong winds additional stability is provided by water-ballast tanks
in capacity of 800 l each board. This option will relieve the
owner of crew search for high-speed sail cruising on storm seas. Inside the
boat the main saloon, two cabins and toilet-shower compartment are
accommodated. Second toilet is optional at bow cabin. The boat design absorbs
many of KOMPANMarine's know-how including both ideas and technologies such as
drum-type retractable rudders, jybe-keel, carbon
reinforced plastic frame and spar, symmetric waterlines when heeling,
and others. For St.-Petersburg placed Morozov Yachts boatbuilding company,
specializing on manufacturing of high-quality aluminum hulls on the basis of
unique GRP-to-aluminium gluing technology, the special version of A38 with
an external aluminum alloy hull covering was developed. The laminate has
a number of advantages at Russian market having somewhat of yachting
infrastructures. The aluminum version is weighing only extra
200 kg.
According to the plans the first A38 will be launched during 2005 season.
Information about А38
13.10.04 Alekstar's sport season
The sailing season has finished. It was successful for A767 sailing boats.
Mitsubishi Pagero has won Volga Cup in Open 800 group; Kunashir
has won St.Petersburg sailing week and Moscow Open
Championship then.
20.09.04 New trials for R600 RIB
Trials for R600 are underway. As has been planned before senior mate
from Corsair team, Valery Ustinov, has made his third attempt to run without
refueling along Ladoga lake. First two were canceled because of fuel system
problems. This time, having replaced all hoses and tanked in the test RIB
more than 300 liters of gasoline, the Corsair team was touched
in a way early in the morning from Frankardi berth, that on Kamennii island.
Having reached by noon east coast of the lake, the RIB headed for north.
Weather favored and waves did not exceed 0,5 meters. However at
north part of the lake near Valaam the north wind strengthened to 17 m/s
and set wave up to 2,5 meters. Speed of Corsair's RIB went down.
Nevertheless, having run more than 530 kilometers in 14 hours
with average speed almost 20 knots, RIB moored about midnight on
GIMS's (Russian State Inspection of Small Boats) berth. The team was unable
to run back to St.Petersburg passing Neva after almost
6-hour rolling on black high waves of Ladoga. It is thought,
that in connection with full absence of any infrastructure on Russian waterways,
motorboats with the remote cruising range will be still long actual.
20.09.04 R600 in Denmark
Danish businessmen had kept an yea on a new RIB in Coach version and
finally they purchased her to service sailing competitions on restless
waters of the Danish waterways. R600 has been shipped to Denmark equipped
beforehand with 115 hp Mercury and 21-inch prop.
Danes liked spacious cockpit, a long onboard zipped cover with netting bottom,
a special water-proof compartment for notebook, GPS plotter and other useful
items, such as a watertight locker with set of cases for hull fittings.
But the most important, that seamen have appreciated, was amazing course
stability despite of wave force 4. Port police was pleased with
the RIB too and wished to equip the boat with on horseback seats
ahead of the steering console for four policemen and aft arch to place siren
and radar blinkers. To become a policeman boat the RIB R600 should pass a
drop-test, i.e. to be capable to withstand a fall in water from height of
6 meters. Such testing is under preparation in St.Petersburg.
10.12.03 New RIB ROGER-600 trials
On-water trials of new RIB ROGER have been successfully carried out
in November. Different design conceptions were checked up and tested
during nearly sixty drive hours. Seaworthiness and navigation autonomy of
the boat were determined in seas. The most fine appeared to be the prototype
with a central (on length) steering console and tubes lengthened up to
6 meters. The boat has demonstrated a steady and safe drive
running 40 knots under up to 3 number sea roughness
with 500 miles autonomy. At the request of the customers,
who have visited the trials, hull compartments for a stand-alone
motor-generator and various equipment including radar and a sounder were
modernized. Some changes also were done in power supply system and outboards
handling. By the beginning of 2004 navigation it is planned to build
cruise version of the RIB outfitted with passenger seats and berths,
an awning-cowl, a fridge and other cruising options. The boat updated
according the trials results will be named ROGER-600.
6.11.03 A new technology
After more than a year and a half of rigid inflatable boat ROGER
450 release we have build a new one RIB 570.
The 450 was build under Corsair company partnership, which is at the lead
of domestic inflatable boats market. It is necessary to remind, that the
450 RIB during test-drives has overtaken St.Petersburg
Solovki St.Petersburg route with a cargo of
700 kg and a rally devoted to St.Petersburg
300 years anniversary from Moscow to St.Petersburg
as a support vessel of Spanish count Alvaro de Marichellara with similar
loading. The new RIB was designed as a vessel for industrial trade
application in view of Far East fishermen technical requirements.
The hull was designed for heavy seas drive. The boat equipped with two
stationary 300 l fuel tanks. Wide transom with completely
separated recess was designed for two outboards with summary 200 kW
maximal power. Self-bailing cockpit has spacious free flat deck to
accommodate cargo and various equipment, and also two sealed lockers of
145 and 65 liters capacity. On Saturday, October 25,
trial runs of new RIB 570 have begun. During the trials designed
parameters will be checked out and new engineering decisions to be tested in
heavy conditions of autumn Baltic. Designed useful RIB 570
loading is 1700 kg, the maximal speed with two SELVA DUET
80 outboards run up 50 knots.
14.10.02 A new technology
Resin Transfer Molding technology (RTM) receiving on the West hi-tech market
an increasing distribution has successfully undergone the company probation.
We are going to transfer on the RTM all small complex composite items, e. g. the
stock cases for the transom hung A767 and A25TR rudders, firstly, and the large ones,
e. g. the bottom sections of the new RIB preparing to release under Corsar contract, next.
The RTM allows considerably increase the composite items manufacture rate, to finish copies
identity up to 100%, to hold the weight and strength characteristics. This is the second
super-up-to-date aramide fiber base composite technology following pneumatic one mastered
by the company.
21.09.02 Alekstar 25 TR Orion a first prototype of A25 new
modification
Alekstar 25 TR Orion, a first prototype of A25 new modification, has successfully finished
a navigation. The boat has raced confidently on Svejy Veter regatta especially under strong
wind racing and was the second on Moscow Championship event being included in
RS2000 group.

A25TR has more heavy swing-keel, 350 kg, than the previous model and
is outfitted with two rudders, a new jib lines and a forstay tightiner.
The twin rudders system was especially appreciated by the crew. The system
gives a way to an effective boat race tuning and rarely favourable on
shallow water.
10.08.02 A first serial A767 has been launched
A first serial A767 has been launched. She slightly differs from the
Scorpion, the head boat of the series, just completely manufactured and
assembled in matrix equipment that for sure positively effects on a
quality of the detail surfaces. It is planned to test the boat on several
regattas at the end of the season and then to prepare for sale.
10.04.02 URAGAN series
Our company has begun serial release of a sport sailing boat Alekstar 767
developed under Uragan project. The first А767 prototype boat named
Scorpion was issued at the 2001 spring. She has passed all-round tests on
more, than six regattas of the navigation in different regions of Russia.
The arisen interest to the extreme А767 has proved an expediency of the
serial manufacture. During three months all construction of the prototype
has been thoroughly analyzed by the company experts to take into account
and to make all alterations needed in the serial equipment. Alekstar 767
pertains to modern international class T800, however as against the
nearest western analogies such as Melges 24 also meets the safety
requirements of ORC. So Alekstar 767 is a sailing boat that capable to
offshore racing. T800 class has been announced on the Bank Cup 2003
regatta and the Bank community noted A767 as a real challenger to a
victory. While the Scorpion was invited to race at Denmark. |
